Dave joined the SWM team in 2006. Prior to, Dave spent 17 years working in education and non-profit management, including 11 years with Outward Bound where he served as the Pacific Program Director responsible for the Oregon and California programs.

Dave graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a BA in Psychology. Dave also obtained a Masters in Teaching from Evergreen State College.

Dave lives in Bend, OR with his wife and two children pursuing a myriad of outdoor interests and playing bluegrass guitar. He currently serves on the boards of the Cascade Community School of Music and the Central Oregon Environmental Center.
